First I want to thank you for checking out Joe is afraid! This is a place where we can celebrate horror movies and the culture surrounding it. Why did I start Joe Is Afraid? Well for some time I have noticed good horror cinema not getting the praise it so often deserves. Many critics are only looking for the next superhero movie and ignoring so much of the great cinema available to us. Some of the things I hope to accomplish here are; giving you excellent movie recommendations, giving an unbiased review of new movies and classics, and the most exciting part for me is getting recommendations from you. While I spend a lot of time in theaters and streaming I am also an avid fan of collecting physical media and am excited to share that passion with you as well.
